I saw my doctor a few years ago and also someone at a clinic for a second opinion, and they both said it was pearly penile papules. Even though it doesn't give discomfort, it is very noticable which is a big mental thing to overcome. I suspect this is a very common psychological problem given that 10% to 30% of males have this! This site has been a big help for being another source confirming it's not an infection.

ive had this affliction for a few years now and am getting fed up with docs on the net saying they are perfectly normal and harmless. they may be harmless physically but they have discouraged me from getting involved in relationships with girls because they are embarrassing looking. what girl is gonna want to suck down there when you have all these little spots on your penis head. for a man the penis is one of the most imporatnt parts of his body,if its scabby looking it is going to affect the mans confidence. in my opinion there should be a lot more research in to this.
 

While i agree that ppp are embarrassing looking, i say dont worry about oral sex and the like, i was for one and today i have oral sex all week with my girlfriend and i also had oral sex in the past with "one girl night" and many of them (albeit in the dark) never noticed my ppp and for the one that noticed a 30 seconds explanation was sufficient for continuing sex... i was never pushed back because of my ppp... take it for what its worth but thats harder for us (when we are teen thought) to accept than for a women (say 20 years old or more... never had sex during teen...).
