Hi im a 15 years old male and i have many small white bumps around the head of my penis ive had them for years now and i am a virgin so i know it can't be a STD.

They have me worried they do not bother me at all they are just annoying ive heard that this could be pearly penile papules?

Hey there, I am an intact sixteen year old with this condition (basically self-diagnosed, I have seen pictures and compared and since I have not had any sexual experience as of yet genital warts are out of the question) which I only noticed recently due to my phimosis (http://beaugeblog.blogspot.com for my experiences with that if you are interested).

I am not all that sure about cosmetic surgery despite the fact that they run all the way around my glans and also over the area around my frenulum. I am especially wary of surgery involving lasers though, is there any certainty of safety with such things being aimed at so sensitive an area of the body?

I am aware that they are weaker than depicted in films and such but they are, apparently, powerful enough to remove such warts so could they not also cause some damage (not to mention pain) to the head as well?

There is a simple way of getting rid of these papules. See a dermatologist, and he will remove them with the same tool as is used for genital warts. I can`t remember the name of it, but it is like a pen that send electricity into every papule and "burns" them away.

Alle the doctors on the websites available tell you that these papules are normal and should not be removed. YES- they are normal, BUT they look terrible and can be removed.

I went to a dermatolist last year, and had them removed in 5 minutes. There`s no pain (you get an anaesthatic cream to put on junior an hour before you go there), and after a couple of weeks you look completely normal.

i aplied clinomen (smokers) tooth paste around the effected area just before bed i then rolled up a patch of toilet role and put it around where the toothpaste was so it wouldn't dry out the rest of my penis head. (Leave the toothpaste to dry onto your penis, then rinse it off in the morning).

I did this every morning and every night for a week before my ppp was gone.

The idea is to dry the effected area until it start's to scab, once this happens don't pull the dry skin off, rinse it off in the shower, if it doesn't rinse off, leave it as it is not ready!

It realy is as simple as that, within about 2/3 days you will see exciting results i promise.

Obviously the time it takes will depend on how big you're ppp's are but it WILL work, i had a few big ppp's that i didn't imagine going but i guess they just went over night.

Can smokers toothpaste really treat these? is this a practical joke because i dont have time for them. I have them and they are depressing me A LOT. Its fine for Drs to say they are natural and dont need treating but they are unsightly and maybe if they had them they wouldnt take that attitude. Women are put off by the sight of them.

Also Im unaware that a dermotolagist can remove them just like that. Ive never heard of that. Can the original posters of others reconfirm this and help out people like me!!!

I've had these for as long as I can remember and all my life have tried to hide my bell end from my partners.

It wasn't until about 3 years ago that I found out on the web that my condition wasn't cancer, but PPP's
That was a great relief, but for the last 3 years I've dreamed about being able to get rid of them.
I imagined my sex life would improve no end, if I had the confidence to allow my partner to freely move about down there

Anyway been trying the toothpaste for 4 days, and although they haven't gone completely yet, the appearance is much better and the corona feels smoother.

It does sting a bit when applying the toothpaste, and it also dries the head out alot, however I suggest doing it in 3 day stages and then having a break for a couple of days, when you can moisturise

One thing that has always annoyed me, is the total lack of info available to men (at least before the web) on this matter.

I spent many years in personal anguish about this!!!

yea, im in the same boat as everyone else. Since i was like 11, i feard them, like i picked it up from a public toilet seat or something, but i learned tonight its okay.
I was trying a jock itch cream, but there was no result. Im really sketched-out about the tooth paste, so im personally not going to do it.. yet at least.
My girlfriend has never mentioned it, but now i can stop hiding it. Apparently they go away with age, but again, let me know how the toothpaste really works!

I have had them for like 2 years and im 17 if u realy want to get rid of them do it in the early stages wen u first notice them because they get worse, i suggest fine wire diathermy because it burns them away but DONT PICK THEM!or they might regrow and for all those people to afraid to tell there parents i was in the same boat as u but ill tell u somethin tellin my mom was the best thing i ever did for them. hope it all works out for you all
 

about the tooth paste... havent tried the smokers tooth paste like one guy said but i did try normal toothpaste. it dries up and ur ppp looks like its gone but day after day with showering the waters gona make the dried tooth paste come off and there u are with the same problem u had in the begining with the ppp
 

yo guys the toothpaste doesnt work at all. ive done it a couple times, yea it sure looks like their all gone but after showering the dried tooth paste comes off and ur papules r visible again. it only works for a day maybe even 2 days but i can assure u that it wont be permanent u can go ahead and try it but im just letting u know cause i was super disapointed after seeing the papules come back and i even went to the doctor and he said the same line "its normal bla bla bla" i asked him if there are any treatments or any procedures that can be done to make the papules go away and he didnt even mention the c02 laser or any cryotherapy or anything
 

Hey..I have PPP for 5 years now and I've heard they can be removed successfully by CO2 Laser Treatment...So far I've called couple dozens dermatologists and none of them does CO2 laser treatment for PPP...does anyone know any doctor who does CO2 laser treatment for PPP...I live in Florida but I'm willing to travel anywhere in the world to have them removed...please someone write me back with some info...and good luck guys.

I just wanted to let you and your readers know my story.

I have had PPP since I was about 16 or 17. I am now 33. They have always been annoying. Girls think they are genital warts and everytime you have a new girlfriend you find yourself having to explain. It's just awkward and horrible. I have always hated them and the normal doctors or STD clinics say that there is nothing they can do, its just perfectly "normal".

I was so happy, I almost skipped down the street on my way home. The charge was £250 and worth every penny.

My penis looked a bit weird for a little while, but soon healed with no problems. A repeat visit to Dr Berkowitz a couple of weeks later for a checkup showed that everything was OK. I remain overjoyed with the whole process and would happily recommend Dr Berkowitz and Wimpole Aesthetics to other readers of your website.

hia this doesn't seem to help sbaciosu prominence (white spots at the base) much, but definitely made PPP look almost unnoticeable.

5% water based gel benzoyl peroxide was applied after every shower/bath. This was usually once every 1 or 2 days for the past 3 months. Results obviously not miraculous because it happened so gradually, but now everything looks quite good!
 

If it's PPP, then toothpaste won't work. But if it's an infection of the subaceous (sp) glands along the glans, then toothpaste will take it away. So if toothpaste worked for you, you did not have PPP.

Ive got this albeit not all that bad. One row, with occasional gaps in between and only one of notable size. I know it's not that much but it still affects my confidence and I've tried numerous things such as wart paint without success as they just resurface days later much the same. The most successful and non painful treatment I have so far used has been a non fungal cream. This is just like what you would put on a case of ringworm so its safe for sensitive skin areas and although it hasn't completely got rid of the PPP it HAS significantly reduced them in size and did not hurt a bit. Give it a go I reckon.

i really hate these little buggers i'm 16 n haven't really got the money to pay 250 for the treatment i really want to find a cheaper/free way to get rid of them, if a doctor told me they were normal and all that i'd probably go insane because to be fair i don't reckon he understands how bad this is. i've been emailing Dr. Berkowitz alot recently finding out more about the procedure and stuff, however today i found out the price tag is £495..... this is alot of money for me, im unemployed, a student, and all the money i do get goes on camera equipment... i've got about £100 saved up and i got a long way to go.... imma have to get a job i guess... i was so looking forward to getting this done ASAP but unforunatly i have to wait until i have enough money........ so annoyed! but hey atleast there's a way of getting them removed!!

I noticed that I had PPP about three years ago, so I got tested for STD's . It was at a college health center with no actual Dr. but two RN's. Both bitches diagnosed me with having genital warts. Being open and honest I told my girlfriend and a few of my friends about my STD. Tonight I discovered on my own that what I have are not warts, but PPP, and cause no health problems at all. Thanks to two idiots in the medical field, I lost the girl of my dreams and had to deal with my friends flipping me shit for the past three years. Although I am relieved to know I will not be spreading warts to every girl I am with, I now have to find a way to convince my friends that I am not diseased, which will not be a walk in the park. I would like to personally thank the idiot RN's at Western Washington University who made my life a living hell. Choose a new profession because you gargle donkey balls at being RN's.

Ok do any of you readers/posters have you foreskin still attached ?I'm going to 50 years old here in a couple of weeks I thought my diabetes was causeing ppp's until I looked it upon the internet i thought it was warts but I had periodic symptoms of ppp and it seemed to come and go through the years, I am have ppp's on the outside of my foreskin does anyone else have ppp's on their foreskin? Lad im from ireland iv had ppp and whats like ppp on my testicals and im nearly sure it was from a moisturizer i used when i was younger .i belive that ppp is sweat glands that reacted with a chemical or something and that what causing the over powering smell at the head of the penis the only thing i can tel ye to do is Always wash ur privates !
 

Hey, to the 50 year old bloke:
PPP is more common in uncircumsized people.
It is very possible to have PPP come and go especially during middle age they tend to become less prominent.
It is definitely possible to have PPP surgically removed for around $500 AUS or slightly more. I have heard of this in the UK,US and Australia.
To all:
I have never seen evidence of a non-surgical cure working, despite visiting many sites.
I would suggest going to a well qualified dermatologist as you do not want to harm yourself self treating or thanks to terrible doctors.

Dudes everywhere! I gave the toothpaste thing a try and so far the results have been great! I was pleasantly surprised to see that on the first use about half had disappeared and the rest were dramatically smaller. Oh and I used plain old crest total whitening, also I would recommend staggering your applications over three or four days and moisturizing in between. Hope this helps:)
 

Use a soldering iron. It's the same thing the doctor does but with more fancy tools. Just touch the tip of the soldering iron to the papule and that's that. It kills it by burning it, and it doesn't hurt much at all. Wait at least two weeks for it to fully heal and don't mess around with it. If you're in doubt, just try it out in ONE of the papules and see how it goes. If it works you can do it on others. And don't get a very high temperature soldering iron, a normal cheap 10-15$ soldering iron will do, which I think goes up to 250 Celcius.
 

Well after reading countless amount of posts i tried the toothpaste trick. Firstly there is a slight burning/tingling sensation, i ignored this as i was going to sleep. When i woke up i had a look and it seemed to have made the ppp's look less prominent. I applied another amount and off to work i went, i was still feeling the burning sensation a bit. after having a look at work, i freaked right out. I have red marks on the head and a bit of my foreskin looks like it broke and is all red. now im even more paranoid cause i dont know if this is an std coming out and i have made it worse or is it a reaction to the toothpaste. either way a washed my penis and will wait a day or 2 to see what happening.

I had PPP since I was 14 years old. I went to a dermatologist and got what's called a "luminous CO2 laser treatment." it's completely painless, the procedure is no more than 2 minutes long. all the doctor does is aim the laser at junior, and zaps them away. you get this numbing cream like an hour before you have the procedure, so you don't feel a thing at all. they instantly vaporize and disappear with the laser. healing time is about 9 days, and I have never felt happier and more confident about myself in the bedroom! this is truly the biggest relief Ive ever had! I hope this helps you men out there... I know how embarrassing this skin condition can be.

I have had ppp since i was at the age of 11 or 12 myself.. Noticed the rim of the head of my penis getting a little more red then the rest.. as i got older the bumps began to form arount the shaft. I knew they werent sexually transmited because i wasnt sexually active. I think that ppp caused me to not only be gay.. but to be the bottom of my relationships because i always was so imbarrised of how they looked. I am so beyond ready for them to be out of my life. I have saved my money and now am ready to do this the right way. i found a doctor that specializes in them in san diego. The process with the co2 lazer is very expensive.(34 hundred) please let me know if there is another solution.. other than toothpaste.. because i wouldnt dare dry my penis with that and not get results i am looking for.

At the moment they are still tiny and barely noticeable but having looked on the internet I found some pretty horrible pictures. I was wondering how quickly they develop? Hi, using the toothpaste method does NOT work for some.

Thanks for telling me this stupid idea. All its done is fuck up the skin around my helmet and made it peel off and feel super sensitive.

Its taken 2 days to heal up and the skin is still fragile in the region. I'm guessing its gonna take even longer for it to heal fully to its former self. I can barely wash it without interrupting the fragile healing process.
 

I used this thing called smooth away. Its used to remove hair but i discovered it worked for ppp too.its easy as fuck it just hurts a little as it removes the skin, but delecatelty. use it till its all gone i swear this shit works. You have to rub hard cuz its a hair removal thing and isnt supposed to remove skin.

I went to a Dermatologist in Pasadena and FINALLY had them removed. I had planned on going to La Jolla Cosmetic Center but luckily seen an advertisement for a high end Dermatologist. Icalled her office and they got me in two days later. She put a topical ointment on the corona and started to clip a few of them and then use a hyfrecator on the remainder. I was done in less than 30 minutes and am happy to see them go!
 

Soon I'll be having my PPP's removed by having them cauterized by a surgeon. I am also going to undergo a circumcision at the same time as to prevent them returning.

I agree with the CO2 laser procedure, however I think it costs a little too much. There are there doctors like this dermacaremedical, they are willing to do a complete removal for as low as $800
What I heard is that with the laser it is hard to work precisely.

This condition may not be harmful but it can make you very self concious and upset about your body.

I've had the ppp for 15 years now. It is your body and your choice but i would urge everyone to think twice before experimenting with home remedies. The ppp may be unsightly but that is all and i'm not about to apply toothpaste, hair remover or a Soldering Iron!!!

Be sensibe... if you are that concerned please see a specialist or save up and get treatment. It's far better than wrecking your penis for good by using shoddy, ill advised home remedies!
 

People, if you don't want to do the co2 thing, I might have the solution for you. All you have to do is what someone mentioned here: ''take ur penis head and stretch it if you no what i mean like pull each side away and hold for 1 min then itll look kind of wrinkly,
after do it again for a minute and then put back foreskin for 3 mins repeat and it changes soo''. This works, but for a short period.

In addition to this, you need thea. It might sound a bit weird, but it really helps alot (thea contains some sort of substance that reduces your ppp). Just make some hot thea, let it cool down till its kinda warm. Take your foreskin, pull it back an put your penis head into the tea for 5 minutes and don't wash it off for the rest of the day. If you'll do these two things for a period of 5 days, you see your PPP will disappear completely! It also worked for me, so I wanted to share this with you guys.

I'm here to tell you that the toothpaste thing IS authentic, but only for certain people. It seems that SOME types of toothpaste work and that SOME people are just unlucky with the toothpaste. Tried to wash em away, thinking it was hard smegma. The most noticeable ones are about 5 of em on the underside of my head on either side of the frenulum.

Looks like the C02 treatment is the way to go. $900 Canadian is the cheapest I've found so far but I guess I'll be trying the toothpaste and tea thing till i get a few more price quotes.

I've managed to kind of zone out the negative impacts of the whole issue over time but sometimes it's too hard to convince myself that it's not bugging me deep down and probably affecting how I act and my confidence in general. I only found information on PPP last night, up until now for bout 2 years I thought I had warts. I'm 15 now and only had the confidence to tell mum about 2 months ago, she went and bought wart removal. Bad idea. It went from some small painless lumps to inflamation, bleeding, burning when I puss, greenish yellow discharge and I cant pull the foreskin back at all without causing severe pain. I used the soldering iron and it works but don't go crazy, just a light touch and do it a few times about a week apart to get them all.

I used a fine tipped battery powered soldering iron. EMLA numbing cream, and antiseptic wipes.

I suggest touching the iron to the back of your hand first then do a couple without any numbing cream just so you get a feel for the pressure so you don't burn yourself.

Without numbing cream it is uncomfortable but not really painful, with the Emla you feel nothing. Afterwards done either way you really don't feel much. At first they look pretty much the same because they stay white, then after about 3 days they start to come off. I had to do it about 4 or 5 times to get them all, but for the first time in 14 years I wouldn't worry about getting my dick out.

It sounds much, much scarier than it is. I'm only sharing my experience, not telling anyone else what to do, but I couldn't get any Dr to do anything and couldn't even find a private clinic for CO2.

I read someone else suggest this. I tried it. It works, end of.
